Donations of Gowns, Accessories encouraged from 10a.m.-2 p.m.
Kenmore, NY (March 12, 2019)—The Colvin Cleaners Gowns for Prom program, presented by the Allstate Foundation and supported by Reeds Jenss, Shea’s Performing Arts Center and Townsquare Media, has a mission to ensure the 14th annual program provides every young lady in Western New York, who otherwise could not afford one, a perfectly altered and dry cleaned gown for her upcoming high school prom.
A “Gowns Drive” will be held on Saturday, March 16 with donations accepted from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Reeds Jenss at 4001 Maple Road, Amherst, 14226 and 3515 Abbott Road, Orchard Park, 14127. Colvin Cleaners President Paul A. Billoni said those donating will not have to exit their vehicle as volunteers will gladly receive the new or gently used formal gowns of any size, shoes and purses. In exchange, donors will receive a $10 gift card from Colvin Cleaners.

Kenmore, NY (March 5, 2019)—The 14th annual Colvin Cleaners Gowns for Prom program, presented by The Allstate Foundation and supported by Reeds Jenss, Shea’s Performing Arts Center and Townsquare Media, officially began today and the family-owned dry cleaners is anticipating a record campaign as it is communicating with nearly 90 high schools in Western New York seeking students who are unable to afford a gown for this year’s prom.
These young ladies are encouraged to visit the website www.gownsforprom.com and click Get A Gown to schedule a time to select their gown on the Shea’s Performing Arts Center stage April 16-18 from 3-8:00 p.m. Schools are encouraged to transport students together so they are together selecting gowns and avoiding similar colors and styles.

Kenmore, NY (April 17, 2018)—The 13th annual Colvin Cleaners Gowns For Prom program, sponsored by The Allstate Foundation distributed a record 877 gowns and nearly 1,000 pieces of hand-made jewelry to high school students from throughout Western New York during distribution over three days last week at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. The young ladies selected from several thousand new and gently used gowns and were escorted by volunteers to three floors of dressing rooms to be fitted by professional seamstresses. The selected gown is then altered, dry cleaned, packaged and delivered for free by Colvin Cleaners to the young ladies’ school in time for the prom.

Kenmore, NY (March 6, 2018) —The 13th annual Colvin Cleaners Gowns for Prom program, presented by the Allstate Foundation and supported by KISS 98.5 with Janet Snyder, has greatly expanded its donation sites due to an early call from high school students in need of a gown for this year’s prom.
Gowns for Prom is seeking donations of new or gently used formal gowns, shoes and purses of any size. There is a big need for plus sized gowns, sizes 16 and up.
The Allstate Foundation, the presenting sponsor of Coats for Kids and Gowns for Prom, announces this morning it is collecting new or slightly used gowns, shoes and purses at 40 Allstate Insurances Agencies throughout Western New York. The barrels will be in each location year round and residents can also donate winter coats, gloves, hats and scarves anytime.

thinking about their prom and what dress they might possibly wear to the big event. Well, for the 11th straight year, Colvin Cleaners of Kenmore, New York is helping to make that choice a little easier and less stressful for these ladies.
The 11th Annual “Gowns For Prom”, sponsored by Colvin Cleaners is underway! They will be collecting new and gently used gowns, shoes, purses and accessories from March 21st through April 16th.
People can donate gowns at several locations throughout the area including any of the seven Ted’s Hot Dog locations; the three BAC for Women facilities; the Boulevard Mall; all Dash’s Markets locations and of course, Colvin Cleaners located at 2375 Elmwood Avenue in Kenmore, NY.
